Thanks for visiting Blue Jean Danes, home of Blue Jeans Colossal Queen ("Lexi"). We are located in Pendleton, Indiana, about 30 minutes from Indianapolis.
As a young boy, my father got me my first Labrador puppy when I was 5 and from there we began raising Labrador Retrievers. This also fostered my interest in becoming a veterinarian so that I could learn more about the medical and surgical treatment of dogs (and cats). However, over time I fell in love the Great Dane breed and knew that someday I wanted to add this breed to my family. Shortly after finishing veterinary school, I decided it was time to take the plunge. My wife and I added Lexi to our family in the spring of 2015, to fulfill my dream of owning a Gentle Giant. From the very beginning Lexi has been raised with our 3 young children and two small-breed dogs. We have also worked to bring out the best temperament in her by exposing her to as many people and places as possible from a young age. We are a young breeder, but come with lots of experience in both the breeding and veterinary care of our pets. We look forward to filling many homes with the love that only a Blue Jean Dane can provide. |
